Each beacon system is compact and simple to install comprising as it does an aluminium support on which there are LED lights, the control housing and batteries together with the solar power module.

The bridge beacon system takes the form either of a single red LED light or dual orange LED lights.
Each very high luminosity electroluminescent diode lighting system is fully sealed and has the special characteristic of being visible at night at about 1 nautical mile.

The beacon system includes a solar power module which has the specific purpose of charging the Nickel cadmium batteries located in the control housing, irrespective of its orientation. In addition the solar panel is vertically fixed and the system operates continually, both in winter and summer.

Thus as soon as night falls the system is automatically switched on and the lights remain continually lit. Once the first daylight appears, the system automatically switches itself off.
